Horse and People Training
Horse Training
Lynn trains horses
in all stages of development. He works with weanlings and yearlings, halter-breaking
them; helping them grow accustomed to loading, hauling, and grooming; and preparing
them for in-hand show classes. He also accepts a limited number of select two-year-olds
to start under-saddle. His main focus, however, is on training working cow horses
for the ranch and/or show.
The basic rates are as follows:
- Weanling and yearling training is $350 per month for full care.
- Starting two-year-olds is $600 per month for full care.
- working cow horses is $700 per month for full care.

Cowboy Savvy Program
Cowboy Savvy
is a program that has proven to be very successful in the last few years. The program
is designed such that horse owners take an active role in the training of their
horses: Rather than leaving their horses for a few weeks or months to be trained,
they instead participate, under Lynn’s direct instruction, in the training itself.
This training may include anything from teaching basic skills to fixing problems
and bad habits.
Through this program Lynn also provides consulting services, including assisting
prospective horse owners in finding the right horse; helping horse owners with the
ins and outs of buying, selling, and showing horses; and providing horse owners
with instruction in the proper use of equipment and the proper care of horses.
The basic rate is $80 per person per three-hour session (maximum of four people per
session)
